About the Workshop:

Join us for a cozy, creative evening celebrating the beauty of Mexican folk art! In this hands-on class, you’ll paint your very own Corazóncito (Sacred Heart) ceramic wall hanging — a cherished symbol in Mexican culture representing love, devotion, and compassion. Inspired by traditional milagros, this class invites you to explore color and personal storytelling through surface design!

No prior art or ceramics experience is needed — this workshop is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about folk art, symbolism, or simply reconnecting with their creativity.

What You’ll Create:

Each participant will start with a handcrafted ceramic sacred heart made by artist, Jerri Quiroz of Jerri’s Calaveritas. Every heart is individually shaped, detailed, and bisque-fired by hand — no molds, no mass production — meaning the piece you paint will already be a one-of-a-kind work of art before you even add your own colors and designs.

Jerri will then guide you through the basics of ceramic painting, sharing tips, techniques, and ideas for making your piece truly personal. Whether you want to create a vibrant, traditional sacred heart or a modern, expressive version, this is your time to make it uniquely yours.

Once painted, your heart will be carefully glazed and fired by us — you’ll leave your piece at the studio, and we’ll handle the rest! Glazing and firing takes about 4–6 weeks, and you’ll get an email or text when your finished piece is ready for pickup at Cinphotos Studio.

Special Bonus 📸:

As part of this collaboration, every participant will also receive a FREE private mini photo session [10 minute; 5 digitals] with photographer Cinphotos (a $50 value).

With the $250 value of your finished handcrafted sacred heart and the private mini photo session valued at $50 from Cinphotos, this unique experience is valued at a total of $300 — yet you can enjoy it all for just $120!

Important Details:

♡ Beginner-friendly – no art or ceramics background required

♡ Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting paint or dust on (ceramic underglazes can leave a powdery residue)

♡ The pictured heart is just an example — your piece will be uniquely yours! Feel free to bring your own reference images for inspiration

♡ Glazing & firing takes 4–6 weeks; pickup will be at Cinphotos Studio. And all participants will receive a notification via email/text when pieces are ready for pickup

♡ Payment plans are available: reserve your spot with a NON-REFUNDABLE $60 DEPOSIT, then pay the remaining $60 before the day of the class (DM us to arrange)
